KODA'S GROOMING
In compliance with the regulations set forth by the State of Tennessee, we require that all dogs and cats are vaccinated against rabies if they are over the age of 6 months. However, we make the following exceptions:
Dogs are required to have a rabies vaccination unless they are over the age of 10 or under the age of 6 months. Puppies must have received their first round of shots before they can be groomed.
All necessary vaccinations are required for dogs to participate in playtime activities at our facility.
If a dog's rabies vaccination has expired, grooming services will be withheld until the vaccination is updated. Pets must wait 24 hours after receiving vaccinations before they can be groomed, considering the potential for adverse reactions.
Flea Policy: In the event that fleas are discovered on a pet during grooming, we will administer a flea treatment and add an additional charge to the grooming service.
Worms Policy: If worms are detected on a pet during grooming, we will discontinue the service, notify the owner for immediate pickup, and refrain from continuing until the issue is resolved.
Additional Information
We are excited to be able to provide our clients with grooming and basic bath appointments within our facility! We are still in the beginning phases, so please be patient with us as, we will only have limited grooming/bath appointments available at this time.
All of the requirements to visit our facility (found in our boarding and daycare tabs) are the same requirements for all of our grooming services. In addition to those requirements, we also require:
All dogs must be free of aggressive behavior for these services to be provided. In the event a behavioral issue should arise, during their appointment, our highly trained staff will do their best to safely complete their appointment. If we feel these issues can be resolved, we will gladly work with you to figure out a plan for future appointments. If we do not feel we can keep ourselves and your dog safe, we will unfortunately have to decline any services in the future. Every ones safety is our top priority. Groomers reserve the right to stop grooming an aggressive dog and request to immediately come pick them up.
For all full grooms, you may briefly speak to the groomer before they begin your dogs haircut. All of our groomers are experienced in their field and will do their best to provide you with a haircut you will love. Please understand that like humans, not all hairstyles/cuts are possible for your dog. Also, coat condition (i.e. matted) may inhibit the groomers ability to provide the requested haircut (i.e. length of hair). If the groomer finds that they cannot provide the requested haircut, they will let you know and explain what they are able to do. With your permission they will move forward with these changes. We understand that your dogs haircut is important to you and finding out that they may need to be cut shorter than you'd like can be disappointing to hear. The groomer would be happy to discuss with you how to properly maintain their coat type so that you can successfully obtain the haircut you want in the future.
All services are subject to a half day daycare fee of $15. If your dogs appointment is during an overnight stay, they will be exempt from this fee because daycare is included in their stay. If you do not want your dog to attend daycare on the day of their appointment, we will gladly waive the fee, if you pick up immediately after their services are completed. We will give you a reasonable window of time to get to our facility by the time they are ready to go. In the event you are unable to do so, the fee will be added to their bill.
If your dog will be attending daycare after their groom/bath is completed, we will do our best to keep them clean while they play with their friends. Please understand that dogs are like children and often find clever ways to "re-stink" themselves (i.e. if its raining or they decide to roll in something they shouldn't). If this is a concern of yours, we recommend our option for you to pick them up as soon as they are finished. We are not responsible for "re-doing" a bath due to any mischief they get into.
Please let us know of any medical conditions and or allergies your dog may have prior to their groom. Preferably, let us know when you book, so we can discuss if we can and how we can safely provide their requested service. All dogs will be washed in either Dawn Dish Soap or a hypoallergenic dog shampoo (groomer will do what is best for their coat type). We do have other shampoos available, so please ask if you are interested in an upgrade. All of our products are dog safe but we understand some of our puppers have sensitivities. We are happy to refrain from whatever keeps your dog safe and looking good!
